Dolce & Gabbana

In Italy, la famiglia comes first and Dolce & Gabbana always has a beautiful way of paying tribute to family.  One of my favorite recent collections paid a most memorable tribute to la mama.  Iconic, timeless and unique, the iconic rose was a recurrent motif throughout the collection and it meant everything to their tribute, not just because it’s the flower you give your mother on Mother’s Day, but because Stefano’s favorite childhood memory of his own mother is the rose scent of her red lipstick.

D&G Rose Heels

The entire collection had hints of roses right down to their gorgeous collection of shoes.  I lusted to have these stunning strappy pair of heels.  Embellished with a vine of crystals and roses, the Keira sandals are floral statement-makers that are bound to turn heads and put a spring in your step.  The silk satin fabric to the velvet stems and roses on the base of the heel make you feel like you are walking in the Villa Carlotta rose gardens in Como.  I don’t know about you, but when I’m wearing these beautiful rose heels, who needs the real thing?? 😉
