Marina Worre – Founder & CEO of Worre Studios
Creator of The Most Powerful Women in Network Marketing Event; Co-Founder & CEO of Network Marketing Pro, Inc.
As a young girl growing up in communist Odessa, Ukraine, Marina Worre knew that she was destined to make her mark on the world. Her mother instilled in her a belief that she could achieve anything she set her mind to. And so it was with this unshakeable belief that Marina started her entrepreneurial journey.
At just 18, and while studying for a degree in economics, Marina opened her first business – a high-end children’s boutique. Her vision was to make women’s lives easier by providing a one-stop shop for children’s toys, clothes, food, and more.
“My goal was to build something for moms,” said Worre. “As I was about to become a mom myself, I realized how overwhelming motherhood could be. My dream was to help moms by giving them everything they needed in one convenient place.”
However, Marina quickly realized that entrepreneurship required more than just opening a store. In addition to being the owner and operator, she took many additional roles, including accountant, legal advisor, salesperson, marketer, and even cleaning lady. Yet despite all her efforts and passion for her business, the rewards were minimal.
“I was the first person to come in in the morning and the last person to leave at night. There were times when I worked 36 hours straight,” Worre recalled. “Being a store owner sounded glamorous, but in reality, it was very challenging.”
After 8 years of success, Marina’s boutique faced ever-increasing competition from big- name chain stores that had moved into the area. Owning the property, she decided it was best to close her boutique and explore other business opportunities she could run from the same location. It was around this time that her then-husband persuaded her to become a stay-at-home wife and mom, allowing him to open and manage a business from the property instead.
Initially, this seemed like an ideal arrangement. But his venture eventually failed and, because he used the property as collateral, she lost everything – not just the property and her financial stability, but also her marriage, self-worth, and confidence in herself.
“I was in a verbally abusive relationship and when you’re told every day that you’re a bad wife, a bad business owner, a bad mother, it’s almost impossible not to start telling yourself the same lies. I bought into the story I was telling myself and I became my biggest abuser.”
Broke, broken, and now a single mother struggling to put food on the table of her two small children, Marina decided she had had enough and dedicated herself to taking her power back.
Fueled by a renewed belief in her own resourcefulness, resilience, and aptitude for problem solving, Marina embraced the reality that she is worthy, capable, and deserving. She not only reclaimed her personal power, but she also became inspired to help other women do the same.
“It was not easy to forgive myself for my past failures and to trust myself again,” recalls Worre. “But then I realized I had everything I needed within me to become stronger than ever and to step into my true potential.” A lesson Marina is passionate about helping other women embrace for themselves.
“It took time, but I gave myself permission to become unapologetically me. I learned how to love myself with all of my imperfections and welcome love back into my broken heart and soul.”
Over the years, other business ventures would follow and, while attending a convention in Moscow, she met and eventually fell in love with her soulmate – author, trainer and entrepreneurship coach Eric Worre.
Marina and Eric were married on April 19, 2011. They support each other – even when it’s not easy. They celebrate each other. They go to battle for each other. And together, they have built the largest and most respected entrepreneurship training company in the world. Under the Network Marketing Pro banner, Marina produces some of the largest and most prestigious training events, including an annual event specifically designed to empower women globally to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and achieve financial independence while enjoying fulfilling personal and family lives.
And she’s just getting started.
A truly inspirational leader, it is Marina’s mission to help women of all ages, races, and creeds find their greatness and live the lives of their dreams by embracing their entrepreneurial spirit just like she has. And one of the most important lessons that Marina has learned is that entrepreneurs adapt.
When the global Covid-19 pandemic forced her to make a major pivot in her business, she got creative, resourceful, and set out to bring a new venture – Worre Studios – to life in the heart of Las Vegas. Without any prior experience, in just 10 impossibly short weeks, Marina single-handedly spearheaded a team of top audio/video production professionals in the business to construct a 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art production studio in Las Vegas used to produce the ultimate interactive hybrid events, TV shows and online experiences.
“Everyone told me it couldn’t be done because there wasn’t enough time or resources to make it happen. But ‘impossible’ is not a word in my vocabulary. With an unmovable deadline looming, I rolled up my sleeves and made the ‘impossible’ … possible,” she said.
Marina knows that not every venture succeeds, but she’s not interested in playing for participation trophy. “People love to talk about their successes, but not about their failures. But it’s your losses that teach you more than your wins,” she noted.
“I’m a perfectionist, but I know I’m not perfect. Progress is perfection to me. I want to help people understand that. I often get overwhelmed and stressed, but I also realize it’s okay to set healthy boundaries, delegate, and ask for help. I’m not going to be perfect no matter how hard I chase perfection. I’m not going to do everything right. I’m still going to make mistakes. And I’m okay with that. Doing my best is perfectly okay. I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and I’m proud of that little girl that grew into a woman who never gives up.”
Inspired by her dear friend, author and entrepreneur Harvey Mackay, Marina believes in the power of mentors and the importance of proximity. She knows that if she wants to play at the highest level of her potential, build the life of her dreams, and impact millions of people, she needs to always surround herself with people smarter and more successful than her so she can continually get better, grow, and stretch her boundaries and beliefs.
Marina’s advice is to give yourself permission to make mistakes and be okay to fail or look foolish. “Most people are so much more powerful than they give themselves permission to be,” she explains. “I’m not afraid to be bold and crazy in the face of adversity and I no longer look for approval from my critics. I allow myself to live an abundant life and to make more money than I could ever imagine. I believe in hard work and I believe this world is an abundant place that has enough love, joy, happiness, and prosperity for everybody.”
More than 20 years ago, Marina took a $1 bill; wrote six zeros on it to make it a $1 million bill; put it in her wallet; and went to work on her business and herself. Little did she know at the time how her life would change and what she would be able to create with that unstoppable mindset.
Then, a few years ago, she realized she was playing too small.
“I knew I was having an impact but it was more like I was throwing rocks into a lake and the ripple effect I was creating was – in my opinion – not big enough. So, I made the decision to go to the ocean instead and make the biggest impact I can possibly make in the lives of women, entrepreneurs, and every dreamer out there.”
And guess what. She also took that old $1 bill out of her wallet and added 3 more zeros to it. Not just a symbol of the money she wanted to bring into her own life, but more of a score card of the opportunities and value she wanted to bring to the world.
“One of my favorite authors – Ayn Rand – is known for a powerful quote that I use as fuel to drive myself in pursuit of my goals every day. She wrote, ‘The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who’s going to stop me.’”
